An outdoor promenade theatre show for 2-7 year olds and their families.
(Socially-distanced setting)
Created by Brambledash theatre.
Using a spellbinding mix of storytelling, clowning, puppetry, audience participation and song, this magical show tells the story of Fern the Folklorogist’s search to find a rare and endangered species – the Singing Tree.
Fern the Folklorogist lives in the woods and knows the secrets of trees. Her life’s research to discover the rarest of tree species has brought her to this very place. Along the way, Fern will need help from her friends – the lively characters of Olive the owl, Robin the robin, and Willow the wood nymph – but can she unravel their clues?
The only way to hear a Singing Tree is to listen very carefully. Fern will definitely need helpers with some local knowledge to solve the mystery and fulfil her dream of hearing the song of a Singing Tree!
“This wonderful story makes the big themes of trees and woodland ecology accessible to children and adults… Joyful experiences like this in natural places become lasting memories.”
Mike Murphy, Sussex Wildlife Trust
